Little Swimmers - fun and engaging water safety activities

Help your little swimmers build confidence around water in this fun, engaging and interactive water safety session for children aged 3–8 years.

Designed to help young children learn how to stay safer around rivers and waterways, this 30–45 minute session combines hands-on activities, games and discussions in a fun and supportive environment.

Activities include:

• Float or sink guessing game

• Name That Waterway

• Boat ride with lifejackets

• Learning how to stay safe around the river

• Why it's important to always swim with an adult

Whether your child is just beginning to explore the water or already loves spending time outdoors, this session is a great way to build water safety awareness while having fun.

• Most Riverfest events are free, and many have limited places with long waitlists. Please only book if you're confident you can attend, so others don't miss out. Bookings are limited to 2 tickets for smaller events and 4 tickets for larger events.

The event will be presented in English, but there is a lot of imagery used. We may have some bilingual (Farsi, Chinese) presenters if there are requests.
