Event description

As part of National Palliative Care week (NPCW), Palliative Care Tasmania (PCT) is proud to present Live the Life You Please screening, an impactful film that will change the way you think about palliative care.

Join PCT at Metro Cinemas Burnie for an unforgettable evening of inspiring stories captured around Australia, from cities and regional centres to remote communities. Live the Life You Please shares the stories of a diverse range of Australians experiencing their last chapter. You'll laugh, smile, and even shed a tear as you witness the unexpected moments of joy caught between caregivers, patients, and their families.

This remarkable film is not only about their end of life, but also about their quality of life. It showcases how palliative care is more than medicine, and highlights the importance of providing physical, social, emotional, and spiritual support to patients and their loved ones.

After the film screening, you can participate in a panel discussion, ask questions, share your opinions, and ignite meaningful conversations. This is an incredible opportunity to engage with others and delve deeper into the important themes and messages of the film. Connect with like-minded individuals and be part of a thought-provoking discussion.

Panelists will include:

  • Jon Delaine (Nurse Unit Manager - Specialist Palliative Care Unit North-West).
  • Lois Berry (Manager of Volunteers - Hospice Volunteers Association  North West Tasmania).
  • Julie Woodcock (Manager Clinical & Coordination Stream - Care Forward).

Proud Sponsored by Care Forward & Searson Buck.
