Event description
The Seeping Woman
The Living Room Theatre in partnership with The Lock-Up presents The Seeping Woman, 16 & 17 August 2024.
Join us for an unforgettable evening at The Lock-Up, a former police station turned contemporary art space, transformed into an immersive theatrical space for The Living Room Theatre's latest production, The Seeping Woman.Â
An exploration of intimacy, proximity, and quiet violence, set within the unique atmosphere of this historical site, The Seeping Woman was created in collaboration with acclaimed artists Michelle St Anne, Linda Dement, Niki Johnson, Mary Rapp, and Anca Frankenhaeuser. This site-specific work delves into the unseen aspects of women's experiences, and the unrelenting seepage of their bodies and stories into the world.
Experience a fusion of digital art, live music, spoken word, and dance, as the performance unfolds seamlessly throughout the space. Featuring live music by Mary Rapp and digital landscape by Linda Dement, The Seeping Woman is a multi-sensory journey unlike any other.
'The stage is everywhere and nowhere, inviting you to engage not only with what's in front of you but also with the surrounding environment and your own senses'. — Michelle St Anne
Prepare to be transported into the hauntingly beautiful world of The Seeping Woman.
