In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to create a beautiful Lotus Fold Journal from scratch. Beginning with simple sheets of paper, you’ll be guided through the folding process and taught how to create all the elements needed to construct your very own handmade book—including the cover.

This is a workshop about process, discovery and making. You’ll learn practical bookmaking techniques while creating a journal that is uniquely yours. There’s something wonderfully satisfying about watching flat sheets of paper transform into a functional, tactile object you can hold, use and treasure.

No previous bookmaking experience is required. Just bring your curiosity and willingness to make.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll have created a completed Lotus Fold Journal, made entirely by you, ready to take home to fill with photographs, sketches, words, ideas—or whatever your imagination suggests.
