At Love Local Fleurieu Spring we will be shinning the light on Genevieve Byrt, an incredibly talented local artist who has created a life that she loves by turning her passion into her business.

Gen is the human half of Gen + Tonic. Tonic is the magic half. Using every colour under the sun, some intention setting and a whole lotta love, Gen creates artwork for those that want to tune into themselves, their space and their feels.

Whether this is through her much loved ‘thought’ paintings, her cheerful and bright homewares or her super spunkie wearable art, Gen’s creations evoke feelings of fun, joy and playfulness.

Gen hasn’t always painted. She put it on the shelf for a very long time because of the dreaded F word. FEAR. But with a whole lot of courage and self-love, Gen made the decision to put herself and her passion for creating art first. And it’s been the best and most rewarding experience she’s ever had. 

Gen is constantly evolving, expanding and growing. She has been pushing the envelope on what she thought was possible for herself and her business, she has backed herself and gone after what she loves – fear and all – and the results have been beyond her wildest dreams and expectations. The sky is the limit now!
