Low Waste Living Workshops: How to Make an In-Ground Worm Farm

As part of St George's Share & Care Program you can join us for this FREE WasteSorted workshop!

Join organic food garden coach Alisa Allison from Reconnect to Nature for a practical demonstration showing you how to make an in-ground worm farm - a simple, low-cost way to reduce household food waste while creating nutrient-rich compost for your garden.

Some of the things we'll cover:

• How an in-ground worm farm works.

• What materials you need and how to set one up.

• What foods worms love (and what to avoid).

• How to care for your composting worms

• How worm farming helps reduce waste and improve your soil.

Participants will also learn about local waste reduction and recycling options, with access to a range of helpful community resources to continue their low waste journey. One lucky participant will take home a 5-litre ready-to-install in-ground worm farm complete with composting worms.

This workshop is perfect for beginners, gardeners, renters or anyone wanting a simple way to make a positive environmental difference at home.
