Luminous in the Neighbourhood Lantern Parade 2026

Following the incredible community response to previous years, AMES Australia is excited to welcome the return of the Luminous Lantern Parade.

Join us on Wednesday, 26 August, from 6:00 PM for an inspiring evening celebrating light, culture, and community. This year's parade will begin at Birrarung Marr and make its way through the heart of Melbourne, concluding at Federation Square, where participants can continue the celebration with a vibrant program featuring food trucks, live stage entertainment, and a festive atmosphere showcasing the diversity and spirit of our community.

Whether you're carrying a lantern, walking alongside family and friends, or simply soaking up the atmosphere, the Luminous Lantern Parade is a wonderful opportunity to connect with people from all backgrounds and celebrate the strength of our multicultural community.

Join a free lantern-making workshop and get ready for the parade! More details here: https://events.humanitix.com/luminous-2026-lantern-making-workshops
