Lunch n’ Learn – Bush Tucker Gardens in Small Spaces
Event description
Interested in bush tucker plants but not sure where to start? Brenden Moore, an Aboriginal Education Officer with the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney's Community Greening program who is a Biripi man from Taree, shares his love for native plants and his tips for a bush food garden at home.
Bush food plants like lemon myrtle (Backhousia citriodora) and finger lime (Citrus australasica) are already recognised and well-loved, while midgen berry (Austromyrtus dulcis), native saltbush (of which there is a great variety), lilly pilly (Syzygium smithii), pigface (Carpobrotus glaucescens) and many more are attracting increasing interest.
BYO lunch and learn about creating bush tucker gardens in small spaces.
