    *Tickets for the in-cinema presentation have now closed. Tickets to view Made in the West MEGA Movie Marathon are still available until 24 January. The online presentation is available from 1 December.*

    Made in the West Film Festival celebrates Western Sydney filmmakers and their spectacular film work on the big screen each year at Event Cinemas Liverpool, right in the heart of Western Sydney.

    Join us on the red carpet with hundreds of local filmmakers to celebrate the end of 2023 with an amazing line-up of films!

    Saturday 25 November 2023 at Event Cinemas, Liverpool

    6pm to 7pm Red carpet entry - Dress to impress!
    7:15pm Film screening commences (two segments with intermission)
    10:30pm Audience Choice Award vote
    10:45pm Awards Ceremony

    Get snapped by our festival photographers on the red carpet then settle in for a HUGE movie marathon featuring 18 short films made by the best independent and student filmmakers from the western suburbs of Sydney.

    Arrive before 6:30pm to guarantee your seat! All general admission seat numbers will be allocated upon entry. Please arrive with your friends for group seating.

    There will be filmmaker awards, a private cocktail bar, popcorn, drinks and comfy leather armchairs with plenty of room for you and your friends to enjoy a full night of local films on our HUGE three storey V-max cinema screen! You're guaranteed plenty of laughs and an exciting line-up of films, plus you get the chance to send someone home with the highly coveted Audience Choice Award when you vote for your favourite film at the end of the night. 

    Seating is limited so please ensure that your guests can attend before reserving additional tickets. Humanitix allows you to easily cancel and update your orders, so please don't let a ticket go to waste if you decide not to come.     Made in the West has always been, and always will be, a FREE event. Please join us to celebrate the creative work of Western Sydney filmmakers and reserve your ticket now!

    General Admission tickets (FREE): This ticket is free and open to anyone, including all cast & crew of the finalist films. General admission seats are allocated upon arrival. Maximum 4 ticket per order.

    Reserved Seating tickets ($20): Buy your way into some of the best seats in the house! We'll find a good spot for you among our VIPs and reserve your seat for you. Really, this ticket is just a way to show your support for Made in the West and contribute to the event. All proceeds from ticket sales go towards event running costs. Maximum 4 ticket per order.

    VIP Exclusive Pre-Festival Party & Screening tickets ($100): Donate to the festival and you'll buy your way into the winners' circle! This is your chance to mingle with Special Guests including judges, sponsors and finalist filmmakers at our exclusive Pre-Festival Party, with champagne upon arrival, reserved seating during the screening and awards, plus popcorn and soft drinks all night. Really, this ticket is a way to show how much you love Made in the West AND you will also get to celebrate the night in style. All proceeds from ticket sales go towards event running costs.

    Online MEGA Movie Marathon tickets ($5): If you can't make it to this year's festival in cinema, join us online throughout summer as we stream this year's line-up in full throughout December and January. You'll receive an access code that will give you one week hire on demand, so you can join in for a movie marathon from home including all the finalist films, red carpet highlights and interviews with the award-winning filmmakers.

    TICKET FAQs

    Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

    Made in the West is an 18+ event.

    Many of the films will contain mature content. This means that all of the usual things (including strong language, sex scenes, nudity, adult themes, drug use and violence) will likely make an appearance at some point throughout the night. That means you can't bring your kids.

    Note: If you are the parent or guardian of an under-age cast or crew member of one of our finalist films, feel free to contact us to discuss your options.

    What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

    Event Cinemas is located on the top floor of Westfield Shopping Centre, located on Elizabeth Drive in Liverpool.

    TRAINS & BUSES oprerate until late. Click 'How to get there' on the map above for travel routes.

    Pedestrian access to the cinema is via the front street entrance of Westfield Shopping Centre, then take the first escalator to the roof.

    PARKING: Enter the Westfield carpark via George Street and go to the roof. Parking at Westfield is free for 3 hours if you arrive before 6pm, or entirely free if you arrive after 6pm.

    ACCESSIBILITY: The cinema is wheelchair accessible.

    Do I need to bring my ticket to the event?

    Yes. Please bring your ticket/s - digital is preferred (save the trees!) - and show the QR code to our ushers when you arrive so that we can scan your ticket.

    Can I update my registration information?

    Yes, you can update or edit the information on your order — like name, email address, or answers to the questions we ask in the checkout process. Locate the ticket order confirmation email that Humanitix automatically sends to your inbox and within it, there is an orange button to Update your order. Click this to be taken to your ticket order on Humanitix. From here, you can update, edit or change the details of your order BUT remember to scroll to the bottom of the page to click a button to SAVE your order. If you can't find that email, or have any trouble, please reach out to us for help.

    Is my ticket transferable?

    Yes. You can follow the instructions given above to edit the information including the name and email address for each ticketholder / festival attendee. If you can't do it yourself, you can contact us and we will update your ticket for you.
