Step back in time at Narooma’s historic Kinema and experience the wonder of a true 19th-century magic lantern show. Using a magnificent mahogany and brass biunial lantern, hand-painted slides from 150 years ago come alive with live music, storytelling, humour, and dazzling effects. Audiences will marvel at the beauty, drama, and laughter that once enchanted South Coast towns long before cinema - now reimagined for today in this extraordinary River of Art Festival event.

The River of Art Festival extends over 11 days from Friday 26 September to the October Long Weekend ending Monday 6th October.

The vibrant annual Eurobodalla festival celebrating the extensive arts scene along the South Coast, kicks off again and this years event promises to be as exciting as ever, with the winners of the much-anticipated 2025 ART PRIZE set to be announced at the launch, marking the official opening of the River of Art Festival.

The Festivals ARTS TRAIL showcases all forms of visual art from paintings and sculpture to performances, music and creative workshops. Events and activities run across the region from Durras in the north to Cobargo and Bermagui in the south, it attracts a large visitor and local community audience while engaging and supporting local artists showcasing their talents across the shire.

The River of Art Festival began in 2004 and now, in its 21st year, is regarded as one of the most significant cultural events in the NSW South Coast regional calendar.
