Two stories, one ending
Traditional main streets and city/town centres are increasingly being pushed into one of two stories.
The first story is a tale of decline, vacant shops and talk of the "good olds days". It's the story that often hits the media.
The second story, perhaps one that is still emerging, is of main streets making a comeback, led by passionate leaders and doers from all walks of life.
This session will focus on the second story and share the lessons from the first story.
Your host
Dean Cracknell, Co-Founder of Town Team Movement and Creator of Placemaking.Education will facilitate the session, which will include various speakers, group discussions and a walkshop (weather permitting) to see the Merrylands Civic Square.
Thanks also to the Cumberland City Council for providing the venue and sharing their insights on the topics.
