Maker + Maker with Darci (SNEAKERHEADCUSTOMS)

The City of PAE is excited to present its monthly workshop series titled Maker + Maker.

Maker + Maker offers a professional exchange of creative knowledge between an expert with individuals seeking new creative experiences. Focusing on the art of making, The City of PAE invites South Australia’s best makers to guide you in creating your own piece of art.

Join us for a unique and exciting workshop with Darci of SNEAKERHEADCUSTOMS, a talented Sneaker Artist specializing in transforming ordinary shoes into extraordinary, wearable works of art. Combining elements of graffiti, street culture, fashion, and fine art, Darci’s custom sneaker designs are bold, expressive, and one-of-a-kind.

In this hands-on session, participants will dive into the world of sneaker customization, learning techniques like painting, airbrushing, stenciling, and adding personal touches. Guided by Darci’s expertise, you’ll create your very own custom sneaker masterpiece that reflects your personal style. By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with a completely transformed pair of sneakers—your own wearable art!

Workshop details:

• Time: 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm

• Location: Pirate Life Brewing, 18 Baker St, Port Adelaide SA 5015 
• What to bring:
  • Your own pair of sneakers to customize (preferably white faux leather, e.g., Air Force 1, Jordans, Puma Cali Courts, Adidas Spezials, or New Balance 480)
• Provided:
  • Access to all tools and materials, including paints, laces, fabrics, and sneaker customizing tools
