Event description

The City of PAE is excited to present its monthly workshop series titled Maker + Maker.

Maker + Maker offers a professional exchange of creative knowledge between an expert with individuals seeking new creative experiences. Focusing on the art of making, The City of PAE invites South Australia’s best makers to guide you in creating your own piece of art.

Join us for an exciting workshop with Morgan Rose of Thorn Printing, a multidisciplinary artist based on Kaurna Yerta. Morgan’s practice spans printmaking, film photography, and mural art, blending traditional and alternative methods to create distinctive and thought-provoking work. This workshop is perfect for anyone curious about the DIY world of screen printing.

In this hands-on session, Morgan will guide you through a fun and interactive introduction to screen printing. Participants will learn how to hand-paint simple designs (~10-15 cm) and print them onto paper or materials like tote bags and neckerchiefs. Expect to experiment with colors, patterns, and your own creativity to make something truly unique to take home. No prior experience is required—just bring your enthusiasm and ideas!
