Sundays at Many Arts: Makers Circle
Event description
We are all makers here and we believe we all have much to gain from making together.
We will make space for gentle creative flow for ourselves and one another.
Join us for a lovely Sunday Makers Circle at the cosy embrace of Many Arts Studio, and let's share in a world of colour, texture and meditative fun!
You may be a knitter, crocheter, darner, embroiderer, drawer, painter, sculptor, collage maker or writer, or you may be curious to try out a new form of making for your lovely self.
Bring your own project, or sit and be inspired by others in the space, or start a new one with basic tools and materials (mostly saved from landfill) in the studio - however you’d like to spend a peaceful, creative Sunday morning/afternoon together!
Makers Circles are free, and open to everyone who enjoys the group intention and structure.
Bookings are essential.
Structure:
First 1.5hrs: Quiet making time. Please settle in quietly, even if you arrive late, to allow everyone to find their flow :)
Next 1.5hrs: Sharing/chatting time. You are welcome to continue making, or head off anytime :)
*New people are warmly welcome and encouraged to arrive 5-10mins earlier so Weiyu can give you a quick orientation to the space.
A note from weiyu:
I like our makers circle because it’s not a therapy group, we also don’t obsess over any single art/craft/technique. There’s no leader or follower, just a warm embrace co-created freshly each time by a unique combination of unique humans who share the appreciation for a simple and open maker space. You may catch a makers vibe from the below, 10 kinds of appreciation, and counting.. :)
