Event description

We’re excited to announce the relaunch of Leaders in Delivery, formerly known as the Leaders in Project Delivery Network! Join us for our upcoming online webinar featuring three top leaders from the construction industry:

🔹 Janine Van Leeuwen

Janine Van Leeuwen is a dynamic project manager and visionary founder of Inspira, with over 16 years of experience leading impactful infrastructure and commercial projects. Known for her unique blend of technical expertise and people-focused leadership, Janine empowers teams to achieve the unexpected.

In her talk, *Profiling Your Team and Creating Cohesion*, Janine reveals how great leadership starts with self-awareness. She’ll guide you through profiling yourself to identify strengths, challenges, and motivations, and then show how to unlock the potential of your team. Through interactive, punchy discussions, you'll discover practical techniques to engage deeply with your team, build trust, and lead them to perform at their best by understanding key dynamics and influencers within the team. Attendees will be actively involved, making this an unmissable opportunity to grow as a leader and inspire your team to new heights.

🔹 Luke Rogers

Luke is a Project Management Professional and Chartered Professional Civil Engineer with 20 years’ experience in engineering, project and contract management in civil construction including roads, water infrastructure and utilities. He has a proven record of safely delivering civil projects in New Zealand, Canada and Australia. Luke is an experienced engineer with proven business development and leadership skills having led teams across several countries.

Luke constantly strives to learn new engineering methodologies and ideas with the intent to implement cost and time savings whenever possible to achieve the client’s programme targets. He administers contracts and project challenges on behalf of the client in a fair and reasonable manner whilst maintaining surveillance on activities by ensuring engineering standards and specifications are adhered to.

🔹 Jesse Parkinson

Jesse, a senior project planner at Inovo has worked in Construction for the last 12 years. For the past 7 he has been in a full-time project planning role. During that time, he has had the privilege of being involved in hundreds of commercial projects nationwide. This exposure has enabled him to gain some valuable insights when it comes to this specialist branch of project management.

“Less than 1% of projects are completed on time and on budget and actually deliver the benefits promised” said Oxford University Expert Brent Flyvbjerg. The global construction community has a problem with timekeeping that is as ancient as time itself! Endless efforts are exerted by professionals in the pursuit of understanding what went wrong. This webinar seeks to change that debilitating focus to home in on what that makes that tiny percentage of projects a success. Sharing a case study on a more challenging project than usual, and what was done right, opens a window to a series of principles every project manager will want to have in their front pocket.
