Nadia Jade Bio

Nadia Jade (she/her) is a multipotentialite with a thousand interests, all of which feed into her artistry as a communicator. Across her career she has worked as an indie music booking agent for venues and clubs, as a venue manager for UK nightclubs, in independent radio as a DJ in Australia and Glasgow. She has worked as circus producer and marketer sending shows off across three continents. Her first forays into arts marketing were as an independent artist, so she implicitly understands the parameters of marketing indie events.

Nadia is Editor-In-Chief of alt-art indie media project Nothing Ever Happens in Brisbane, and is passionate about rejuvenating arts criticism in Queensland and Australia. Nadia has personally published over 100 pieces of arts criticism plus numerous articles and interviews. She currently works as Marketing Manager for Brisbane Festival, where she is bringing her grassroots experience into play to share the stories of artists at the largest arts festival in Queensland. She is a storyteller with an unerring sense of the zeitgeist, who loves to paint evocative pictures with words, and connect the perfect audience to their perfect show.
