WEBINAR SERIES
Income Diversification Roadmap - Get your strategy set for FY25
** 6 sessions over 2 weeks **
** Hear from leading NFP / charity sector consultants and advisors **

Income diversification. It’s on many strategic plans, a theme at board meetings and the number one topic for CEO's in 2024. But many CEO's tell us they look at a blank sheet of paper and think ...

  • What’s the best approach for our organisation?
  • How do we test the strength of a new approach?
  • What are other organisations having success with?

And with only 10% of grant submissions being successful, how can you spend your precious time and resources more effectively?

Our Income Diversification Webinar Series is a roadmap to help you find those answers, and to help you identify and plan the best approach for your organisation.

Each 75-minute session features experts from the Benefolk Network of specialist consultants, accountants, strategists, marketers and fundraisers, who will help you assess, plan, set realistic goals and create your roadmap to implementation. They are in the trenches everyday with clients on this very topic and ready to pass on their pearls of wisdom.

SERIES OVERVIEW

Session 1 - Tuesday 23 July 2024
“What's the plan - Starting with strategy"
Many organisations have income diversification as a strategic priority, but often jump to setting up a fundraising plan, without having the strategy clearly articulated at a Board level. In this session, you’ll hear from our governance and strategic planning specialists who will share practical guidance around the strategic process required to support income and revenue diversification.

Session 2 - Wednesday 24 July 2024
"
Impact storytelling - How does evidence help you diversify and grow?"
Funding partners need to see evidence of your organisation's impact. In this session, you will learn about the impact management cycle including planning impact from the start to collecting and analysing evidence, reporting and improving. We'll help you understand a variety of indicators and how to select, create and refer to standard indicators, including Amplify plus other public frameworks.  All participants will have access to a free 30 day trial of Seer Data's Impact Measurement platform for data collection, storage and storytelling.

Session 3 - Thursday 25 July 2024
“Fundraising options - what else could we add to the mix?"
You have a fundraising strategy in place and are looking to develop another fundraising stream. Hear from our bequests, major donors and corporate partnerships specialists about the reasons you would, or wouldn’t, go down one of these avenues. You’ll also learn about what needs to be in place before adding one of these new fundraising streams.

Session 4 - Monday 29 July 2024
“Government funding and elections - getting on the front foot”
Some organisations are fully reliant on government funding and others are starting out on this journey, either applying for government grants and tenders for the first time, or building a strategy aligned to government policy and direction. In this session, you’ll hear from our specialists who are helping organisations excel across all of these areas. We’ll also take a look at what’s coming down the line in FY25 in terms of change of governments, budget cycles and help you get on the front foot for these changes.

Session 5 - Wednesday 31 July 2024
“Feasibility - best practice tools to test your ideas"
You’re ready to test some new ideas, but what’s a lean way to test the viability of your ideas? In this session, we hear from three specialists across business planning, finance and fundraising around the tools and strategies they use to help with feasibility testing, prototyping and iterating. What questions should you ask yourself, your stakeholders and donors? What blindspots do you need to consider? What are lean ways to test, learn and iterate before spending too much time in one area? What is the mindset of our organisation? How can we better use a case for support?

Session 6 - Thursday 1 August 2024
“Enterprise and trading activity - how to truly shine"
Set up a social enterprise or trading activity, they say. It will be easy and help provide income to support your mission. Many good intentioned organisations have been down that path, only to find that there is much more to establishing, enhancing or expanding paid services as a way to achieve your impact and raise income. We bring together our business planning, enterprise development and marketing specialists to this session to look at the resourcing, skill set, capabilities, investment required to succeed, and how to amplify impact with trading activities aligned to your mission.
