Welcome to the Melbourne Jewish Book Week Festival 2024!

The Festival theme of 'Belonging' includes over 20 sessions, featuring acclaimed local and international authors. Sessions will be addressing topics such as family, memoir, mental health, holocaust, fiction, current affairs, Yiddish, poetry and children's events.

1.30-2.20pm:

2. Shaping Identity, Writing the Soul; Memoir
3. Revelations - Poetry as Performance

2.30-3.20pm:
1. Don't Look Away: New contemporary fiction
2. Modern Family: The ties that bind
3. Yiddish hauntings in new fiction and film

3.30-4.20pm:
1. On Being Jewish: Michael Gawenda
2. Unforgotten: The Shoah and ancestors lost

3:30-5pm:
3. Writing as a Jew: A practical workshop
*Please note: Lee Kofman's workshop is not included in your 'Festival Sunday' all day pass. This unique event has a limited capacity and must be purchased separately.

4.30pm:
1. Mark Raphael Baker: His Literary and Intellectual Legacy (4:30-6pm)
2. The Beth Din of Books: Best reads from those in the know - Free event (4:30-5:30pm)
