WHAT TO EXPECT
The Cape Schanck, Bushrangers Bay and Pulpit Rock walk is a breathtaking coastal trail taking participants directly through the Mornington Peninsula National Park, a place enriched with Australian maritime history. This walk (which will include the Cape Schanck Lighthouse) will take you on a marine adventure that will include sweeping ocean views of Bass Strait at Cape Schanck, distinctive coastal scrub habitat at Bushrangers Bay and uniquely formed igneous rock pools at Pulpit Rock. At approximately 10km long the trek includes around 125m of elevation ands is relatively easy for all fitness levels.
Additionally, the Mornington Peninsula National Park is home to the elusive and endangered Hooded Plover, a native coastal Australian Bird, who call the dunes at bushrangers Bay home. If you're lucky enough you may be able to spot one in the dunes of Bushrangers Bay!
This walk is easy in difficulty so all ages and fitness levels are welcome to this event.
Once the hike is finished we will make our way to a nearby café for food and a much needed coffee!
