Its time for a dose of Italy in Melbourne!!!! Join Dan on a fantastic night walk through the Flagstaff Gardens before heading to Il Mercato Centrale. This will be a perfect way to break up your week with incredible social vibes of the group and getting those extra steps in.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Visiting Il Mercato Centrale is a fantastic experience for several reasons:

1. Culinary Variety: It offers a wide range of local and regional Italian foods, from fresh produce to artisanal cheeses, cured meats, and baked goods.
2. Authentic Atmosphere: The market has a vibrant, bustling atmosphere where you can immerse yourself in Italian culture and interact with local vendors.
3. Tasting Opportunities: Many stalls offer samples, allowing you to try various dishes and products before purchasing.
4. Unique Souvenirs: You can find artisanal products and gourmet ingredients that make for perfect souvenirs or gifts.

Overall, Il Mercato Centrale is a feast for the senses and a must-visit for food lovers!

The night won't be too difficult as it is all flat with many times to stop and get those incredible pictures you won't be able to resist. All up there will be roughly 5km covered.

The walk should take us around 2.5 - 3 hours to complete, depending on our pace and includes the lush and varied Flagstaff Gardens, gorgeous city views and the authentic Italian cuisine at the Il Mercato Centrale.

At the Market we will be able to explore at our own leisure and meet for a group cheers and some photos together before calling it a night at the market itself. 

All ages and fitness levels are welcome to this event. 

START TIME AND MEET LOCATION

MEETING LOCATION: Flagstaff Gardens Playground

MEETING TIME: Arrive between 6:30pm and 6:45pm SHARP to meetup and check in for an 7:00pm sharp Departure (Plan to arrive early and give yourself extra time for parking and to find the group).

NOTE: Arriving on time is critical for the event starting on time. Participants not checked-in by 6:45 may be left behind.  

Public transport is an accessible option for this walk. Check the PTV website to plan the route from your area. 

WHAT TO BRING

- Water (at least 1-2L)

- Snack food for the hike

- Money for pub (optional)

WHAT TO WEAR

- Comfortable walking shoes. 

- Comfortable Weather Suitable Clothing. 

- Bring a jacket as it could get fresh.

FINISH

This time around we will be having a drink at the market itself and will finish the event at the Market around 9 to 9:30pm and go our seperate ways from there.
