ABOUT THIS EVENT
Join us for another awesome Social Walk with Dan on Friday the 28th of June as we embark on our first stunning walk through the heart of Melbourne to Docklands. This central location should be easy for many to attend as we meet at South Bank at the start of the Yarra Promenade (right next to the Queen Street Bridge).
Our Social Walks are a great way to get outside, get your body moving and make some amazing new friends along the way!

WHAT TO EXPECT
Queens Street Bridge to Docklands Foreshore Walk is around 8.5km and is a fun and easy hike for beginners and newbies! We will meet at the start of the Yarra Promenade, Southbank before beginning our picturesque walk along the Yarra, taking in all the stunning lights of Melbourne before finishing with a group photo with the Docklands Harbour as our beautiful backdrop.
The trail is roughly 8.5km and should take around 1.5 - 2 hours to complete depending on our pace.
All ages and fitness levels are welcome to this event. The walk is mostly flat and on concrete footpaths.
This walk is a real showstopper boasting some of the best views the city of Melbourne has to offer as well as a few stops at some the city's hidden treasures like the Polly Woodside (tall ship) and the beautiful Webb Street Bridge. It's the PERFECT way to cap off a long week at work - An easy walk in great company.
START TIME AND MEET LOCATION
Meeting Location: Yarra Promenade, Southbank (Corner of Queens bridge)
Meeting Time: Arrive between 7:00 - 7:15pm to meetup for a 7:20pm sharp Departure.
NOTE: Arriving on time is critical to the Walk getting away on time. Participants not check-in by 7:15pm may be left behind.
Parking - for those not coming by public transport there is paid parking at Crown Casino.
WHAT TO BRING
- Water (at least 1-2L)
- Snack food for the hike
- A warm jacket and clothing appropriate for cold Melbourne winters.
- Money for pub afterwards (optional)
WHAT TO WEAR
- Comfortable Walking Shoes
- Comfortable Weather Suitable Clothing (check weather on the day).
- Hat / Beanie
FINISH
The Hike should take around 1.5 - 2 hours with small breaks to enjoy some sightseeing.
This is an ideal end of week hike for those that find public transport accessible and want to be part of our ever growing community. Great vibes and gorgeous views of the city will stay with you long after the hike finishes.
For those interested in capping off the week with a drink, we will be walking to the 'Archie brothers Cirque Electriq Melbourne' after for a group cheers and some video games which should be a great laugh and end the night perfectly.
