Melbourne Social Walks - Werribee Gorge Circuit Walk - Moderate 7.7km

ABOUT THIS EVENT

Join us for another amazing Social Walk on Monday the 1st of July as we hike the Werribee Gorge circuit.

Our Social Walks are a great way to get outside, get your body moving and make some amazing new friends along the way!

WHAT TO EXPECT

The Werribee Gorge is that perfect balance between tough, picturesque and adventurous!

The Track is a 7.7 km loop that takes around 3-4 hours to complete depending on our pace. 

A moderate level of fitness is recommended for this event.

The Werribee Gorge has some decent incline in parts but it's all worth it for the views of the surrounding valleys and the gorge below. The highlights include jaw-dropping views, an adventurous chain walk around a section of the river and the possibility of a swim at the Werribee 'beach'. 

START TIME AND MEET LOCATION

Meeting Location: Meikles Point Picnic Area, Ingliston (Parking Available)

Meeting Time: Arrive between 9:30 - 9:45am for a 10:00am Departure. 

WHAT TO BRING

- Water (at least 1-2L)

- Snack food for the hike

- Picnic Lunch (or money to buy lunch at a pub/cafe after)

WHAT TO WEAR

- Comfortable Walking Shoes

- Comfortable Weather Suitable Clothing (check weather the night before). 

- Hat / Sunglasses & Sun Protection

FINISH

The Hike should take around 3-4 hours with small breaks to enjoy some sightseeing. 

We finish back where we started around 1:00pm where we can gather for a picnic lunch or hit up the local cafe or pub.
