The Men's Table - Narooma SafeTalk Training Workshop,
St Paul's Church Narooma Tilba St

Thursday 2nd May, 2024; 1330 - 1800

You're welcome to arrive from 1315 to mingle with other men, and grab a bit to eat included and a cup of tea...but please bring own hydration

FREE FULL SCHOLARSHIP TRAINING + small cost for catering (optional)

In setting up Men's Tables, Ben and David, Co-Founders, were asked by men early on, 'What do we do if a man at our Table is experiencing a significant mental health crisis?"

We went looking for the best possible Suicide Intervention Training providers and found them in Living Works Australia.

Attending suicide prevention skills training is incredibly powerful and practical, and you come away with confidence that you would be able to help someone in a time of need.

We're delighted to offer to men in The Men's Table community this FREE Full Scholarship Training  in collaboration with Living Works + a small catering fee

SafeTALK empowers everyone to play a role in preventing suicide Using a simple yet effective model. With over 120,000 people attending each year, it is the world's fastest-growing suicide prevention training.

Participants in SafeTALK learn to identify someone who may have thoughts of suicide, ask the question about suicide directly and safely, and refer these individuals onto an ASIST trained caregiver or community safety connections.

SafeTALK then addresses common community perceptions and myths around suicide that prevent individuals from acting, such as the idea of "putting the idea of suicide in someones head".

We hope you can join us for this valuable experience and learning.

A side benefit of the workshop will be meeting men from across different Tables as well as other good men in the community who are invited
