Mental Health First Aid (Standard)
Most people are familiar with physical first aid and the idea that when you attend a physical first aid course you learn the skills and knowledge required to recognise and respond to life-threatening emergencies and provide a first aid response to a casualty across a range of different situations.
Mental Health First Aid training adopts a similar approach. Participants are taught about the different types of mental illness and using a practical, skills-based action plan, you learn the skills to assess and respond to someone experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis and how to access the types of help and supports that are needed.

DATEÂ FOR MHFA STANDARD COURSE:
Tuesday January 30, 9:30am - 5pm and Tuesday February 6, 9:30am - 5pm
The course will be run over 2 days from 9.30am-5pm in a group facilitation led by the MHFA Accredited Trainer, Faith Battistella. Both days are mandatory to complete the course and get certified by MHFA Australia and accreditation lasts for 3 years.Â
Please note that cohort is limited to 24 people.
