Jane Massa
Jane Massa works for Sydney Local Health District, as the Suicide Prevention Coordinator on the Towards Zero Suicides Team. Jane has an honours degree in psychology and is accredited to run "Older Person Mental Health First Aid". Working with councils, Jane runs Social Connections Groups, to help people make new connections and extend their social circles. Graduates of these groups have started friendly social groups that welcome new members. "The Golden Group" and "Growing Older with Gratitude and Attitude" are with us today - please go and say hello to them! Jane started the Australian Coalition to End Loneliness, now called "Ending Loneliness Together" because social connections enhance health and wellbeing. For the last decade Jane has given advice about preventing mental health problems, and promoting positive mental health, to two Ministry of Health Working Groups. Always, Jane's focus is on sharing the science of happiness.
