Midwinter Feast

'The dark, wintering period can be a nourishing time of rest and retreat'*

You're warmly invited to join us for a Midwinter Feast: a community potluck dinner open to everyone — witches, occultists, pagans, friends, neighbours, kids, everyone is welcome. Full agenda below.

Community and family friendly - bring your people, bring your coven, bring your kids, your grandma, invite your neighbour, bring whoever needs a good excuse to share a festive, warming Midwinter meal.

Children - children are welcome! Please book individual tickets for all children attending so we can manage numbers appropriately. For the enjoyment of all, we encourage children to be photographed by their own parents or carers

All details on what to bring will be sent on booking.

Agenda

  • 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

    Deck the Hall (optional)

Optional: Arrive from 4pm onwards and help us turn a community space into somewhere worth feasting in. Fairy lights, table settings and a tree to decorate - help turn a turn a dreary hired council space in to a beautiful feasting hall with a bit of magic.

  • 6:00 pm - 9:30 pm

    The Feast & Gift Exchange

The Feast The main event - Community Potluck Feast - bring a dish to share and enjoy in good company. Bring your own cutlery, plate and cup to keep the event as sustainable as possible. Gift Exchange Bring a wrapped gift, leave with one. No price range, no rules, just something you'd genuinely be happy to receive yourself. Gifts go into a basket to be redistributed on the night. Please mark if it's suitable for kids or adults. We'll have extras for kids if you forget to bring something, or if budget doesn't stretch. Feel free to recycle, or bring a second hand gift. We actively encourage that!

  • 9:30 pm - 10:30 pm

    Many Hands (optional)

At the end of the night, we'll pack down together. It should not take too long with enough people helping out, and it means nobody gets stuck doing it alone. We appreciate every pair of hands.
