Women Who Whiskey Los Angeles is thrilled to announce an evening with Marlene Holmes, Master Distiller for women-owned Milam & Greene Whiskey, on Wednesday, May 1st at 7:00 p.m. at The Double Barrel in Beverly Hills.
Marlene will taste us through Milam & Greene's award-winning core range of whiskeys:
- Triple Cask - A Blend of Straight Bourbon Whiskeys: Gold - 2023 ASCOT Awards
- Single Barrel Straight Bourbon Whiskey: Double Gold - 2021 San Francisco World Spirits Competition
- Very Small Batch Straight Bourbon Whiskey finished with Charred French Oak Staves: Gold- 2023 San Francisco World Spirits Competition
- Straight Rye Whiskey Finished in Port Wine Casks: "Best of Show" - 2021 American Craft Spirits Association Awards
Our evening at the iconic Double Barrel in Beverly Hills will start with a welcome cocktail and light bites. Bottles of Milam & Greene whiskey will be available for sale onsite at The Whiskey Shoppe.

Marlene worked for Jim Beam at the Booker Noe Plant for 27 years before moving to Blanco, Texas, to join Milam & Greene Distillery, which was co-founded by entrepreneur Marsha Milam and CEO/Master Blender/author Heather Greene. Marlene worked with Booker Noe himself and was mentored by Pam Heilmann: Michter's Master Distiller Emeritus. As we will taste on May 1st, Marlene and the Milam & Greene team have produced award-winning whiskeys right out of the gate!
We can't wait to spend an evening with Marlene, hear her stories, and drink delicious Milam & Greene whiskies with you!
