Event description

Mind Body Man with Shannon McGurgan

A workshop for men who want to change but don't know where to start.

1st August
9am to 5pm
$150

Change can be hard. To eat the elephant you need to take the first bite. This workshop will give you a selection of tools to begin that journey of change.

Breath- Learn how the breath works and how you can optimise it for better health. We go through a series of breath exercises and discuss breath, the one thing in this life that you will do more than any other thing.

Movement-Drawing on Qui Gong, Yoga, Natural Movement and Shannon's personal practice to expand the concept of movement beyond sport and into a functional practice for overall wellbeing.

Food- We share a meal which is high quality fat and have a discussion about the pros and cons of this type of diet. There is a veg option and lunch is included.

Play- Creative play is often overlooked by men but it is a great way to stimulate the imagination which translates directly inot Some basic collaborative theatre games and a touch of red nose clown.

Song- The day ends with Sea Shanties. Ancient songs of the sea used to synchronise the movements of workers on the ships. A great way to synchronise us all at the end.
