MIND BODY SOUL Retreat for ADF & First Responders at Banks Creek Retreat (Sunday 26th February 2023)
Event description
Are you a current serving or former ADF member OR First Responder? If so, we have an incredible opportunity awaiting you!
We are thrilled to announce a follow up Mind Body Soul retreat event for ADF/first responders due to popular demand (our first retreat sold out in days!). We are back with a similar holistic program to empower our service community - and the most amazing news is that it is generously sponsored by YOUNG VETERANS charity organisation. What an incredible opportunity to be empowered and enriched with a minimal registration fee ($30 +b/f) instead of the normal cost of $199).
Thank you to the YOUNG VETERANS for your kind and generous sponsorship!
Ok, so here are more details about the full day all-inclusive retreat.
You will be guided by experienced facilitators (Peta, Monique and Kate) who each have a service background (See facilitator bios below).
Together, we warmly invite you to taste test a wide variety of holistic practices to nurture your mind, body and soul - as we KNOW what your stressors are like, and most importantly, we have the tools you NEED to deeply restore in mind, body and soul! (More info about our practices below).
Our combined program will recalibrate your nervous system, help you find mental clarity and fill up your cup!
To top it off, you won't need to worry about preparing meals, as the retreat is fully catered, nourishing you with healthy snacks, lunch and refreshments (including some yummy treats) and you will receive some other special gifts to take home.
The nourishing tranquil forest setting at Banks Creek Retreat (via Fernvale) South East Queensland is restricted only to frontline personnel, so you will be amongst friends and like-minded people.
Location - Banks Creek Retreat is a 100 Acre property on the border of the D'Aguilar National Park in South-east Queensland. BCR is owned and operated by Nicole and Grant as a not-for-profit charity (Est. July 2017) to provide a safe place of relaxation and recovery and community of support for current and ex-serving Emergency Service (ES) and Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel and their families. Since 2006, Nicole has served in the Queensland Police Service and Grant, a former Queensland Police Officer, now works in the Corrective Services. This internationally renowned evidence-based therapeutic practice will dissolve mental and physical stress very quickly and gently (its a slow walk not a hike!). Through a number of nature-based mindfulness activities you will develop a deeper connection to nature to relief stress and anxiety, and bring about feelings of inner peace and calm (Peta Jay).
- BODY - You will be introduced to the practice of yoga, by Level 2 Yoga teacher and current serving PT instructor (Monique). Her expert teachings will deeply nourish your body and mind, and cater for all ability levels with modifications. She will leave you feeling physically and mentally rejuvenated.
