Mindful Self-Compassion for Teens (MSC-T)
Event description
Adolescence is a time of change, self-discovery, and growth. But as life’s demands increase, it can also bring confusion, anxiety, or depression. For many teens, these struggles lead to isolation and feeling overwhelmed. As parents and carers, we might not even be fully aware of what is going on for them, believing they are ‘doing fine’. Terms like ‘resilience’ can create additional pressure on teens, causing them to be even harder on themselves as they push away difficult emotions and disconnect from themselves and others.
MSC-T is an evidence-based course that offers a different way. Through developmentally appropriate guided meditations, engaging activities, and group discussions, teens learn practical tools to:
Navigate emotional ups and downs
Be kinder to themselves in tough moments
Find a sense of connection to who they are
Develop a shared sense of humanity
Please note:
There is a free parents/carers information session on Mon 29 September via Zoom which can be booked via this same hosts Humanitix page.
