Mindfulness in the Garden
Event description
Mindfulness in the Garden is the practice of bringing full awareness to the present moment while being immersed in a natural garden setting. It involves consciously tuning into the senses—what you see, hear, feel, and smell—while gently quieting the mind.
Benefits of Mindfulness in nature:
Reduces stress and anxiety
Improves attention and clarity
Enhances emotional regulation
Strengthens the sense of connection to self, others, and the environment
Supports physical health by lowering blood pressure and cortisol
Does 30 Minutes of Mindfulness in Nature Have an Impact?
Yes—30 minutes is enough to create measurable benefits, such as:
Lower heart rate and blood pressure
Reduced levels of cortisol (stress hormone)
Improved mood and sense of calm
Sharpened mental focus
Boosted feelings of vitality and awe
Research shows even 10–20 minutes in nature can improve wellbeing; 30 minutes deepens that effect.
