Stop on your way to MINI's on the Dragon to join us for the grand opening of the MINIs to the Max: 65 Years of Spirited Adventures exhibit!
On May 1st, 2024 you are invited to join us for our grand opening created just for MINI enthusiasts on their way to MINIs on the Dragon! We welcome you one and all to drop in on May 1st to be one of the first to experience the newest offering from The Ultimate Driving Museum. The MINIs To The Max: 65 Years of Spirited Adventures exhibit will celebrate the evolution of MINI. Starting with MINIs heritage, the vehicle range including motorsport, unique special editions, their passionate owners, and provides a look into the future of the MINI brand. The exhibition will run from May 1st, 2024 to January 18th, 2025.
In 2024, MINI will be celebrating 65 years of fun and innovation and unveiling the fourth generation of the model range. While the original Mini is considered an icon of 1960s British popular culture, BMW has owned MINI as a brand for 28 years! Its space-saving transverse engine and front-wheel drive layout allowed 80% of the area of the car’s floor pan to be used for passengers and luggage and influenced a generation of car makers. Mini has a rich heritage of performance in race and rally cars, winning the Monte Carlo Rally in 1964, 1965, and 1967. Today MINI continues its racing heritage in the TC America Touring Car Series. BMW launched the new MINI in 2001 drawing inspiration from the original two-door design and brought significant performance improvements to the brand.
The May 1, 2024 Open House celebration will feature;
- 30 Minis on display from 1960 - today
- A free exhibition collectible for every adult guest
- Food trucks will be on the property
- Opportunities to see your friends and enjoy yourself
- An amazing array of guest MINIs and BMWs in our own parking lot
And of course, MINIs to the Max exhibition memorabilia, posters, and merchandise will all be available to feed your MINI and BMW obsession. Please note that MINI merchandise will be released closer to the exhibit opening. Check out the online gift shop HERE

Food Trucks will be serving lunch onsite. Between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm, you will have the ability to purchase lunch from top-quality food trucks parked onsite (lunch is not included in your admission fee). There are also several restaurants located at exits 63 and 54 on Interstate 85.
The Ultimate Driving Museum is located in Greer, SC, directly next door to the BMW Performance Center, and across the street from BMW's largest manufacturing center. The Museum & Archive currently preserves about 80,000 BMW-related items, from cars to engines to art and literature and memorabilia. It's the largest such collection in the Americas.

Can I redeem my complimentary Open House tickets for this event? Yes! Please email Info@bmwccafoundation.org to complete your complimentary admission for this event. We ask that you still register with us so we can count you in on all the fun!
Is there an age limit to enter the event? - All are invited. There is no age limit for this event.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event? - We've got the only building on our street. We have plenty of parking. We will have volunteers here to show you where you can park.
What can/can't I bring to the event? - Bring your enthusiasm and love for the marque! And bring your cameras...you are welcome to take all the photographs and video you want. Please, no selfie sticks or tripods inside the Museum. Pets may be brought to the property, but they are not allowed inside the building. Also, please leave large bags and backpacks outside. Only bottled water will be allowed inside the exhibit space, no other food or drink.
Is this event registration separate from my registration for MINIS on the Dragon? - Yes. On this page, you will only register for The Ultimate Driving Museum's MINIs To The Max: 65 Years of Spirited Adventures open house on Wednesday, May 1, 2024. You do not have to be registered for MINI's on the Dragon to attend the MINI's to the Max opening event.
