AI and the Church - Opportunities, Challenges, and Ethical Considerations

Artificial Intelligence is rapidly transforming our world, and the church cannot afford to ignore its impact. In this session, Darren Rowse will explore the role of AI in ministry—how it can assist in sermon preparation, content creation, pastoral care, and administration— while also addressing the ethical, pastoral, and theological implications of its use. With practical demonstrations, hands-on exercises, and thought-provoking discussion, this session will equip church leaders to engage with AI wisely, creatively, and responsibly.

Date: Thursday,  May 1 (Zoom)
Time: 10am – 12:15pm
Cost: $30

Guest Speaker: Darren Rowse

Darren is an Associate Minister at One Church Blackburn, serving on the executive leadership team. He oversees church communications, coordinates the young adults service, and is a regular member of the teaching team.

With 25 years of experience as a blogger, podcaster, and online content creator, Darren has built and led multiple digital communities.
