At CareWorks, we see our mission as partnering with and assisting our affiliates to be the hands and feet of Jesus in their community. Jon Owen is ideally credentialed and positioned to speak words of wisdom, insight and encouragement to those who share this passion.

Time: 10:00am – 12pm
Cost: $30
Guest Speaker: Jon Owen
Since 2018, Jon Owen has been CEO and Pastor of Wayside Chapel in Sydney’s Kings Cross. A qualified social worker, Jon has lived and worked in some of the most disadvantaged communities in Sydney and Melbourne. He is dedicated to supporting those experiencing homelessness, addiction and mental health, and is proud of the Wayside Chapel’s continuing mission of creating community with no “us and them.”
Prior to his time at the Wayside Chapel, Jon held the position of Australian and Pacific Director of Urban Neighbourhoods of Hope (UNOH), an organisation with very close links to CCVT.
Jon is a regular public speaker and storyteller. His lived experience and passion
