Exhibition Preview and Deadly Feed
Event description
MOB FIRST MOB FED - Exhibition Preview & Deadly Feed
Join us for an exclusive First Nations community preview of Beyond the Ballerina featuring special guest, Palawa artist Josh Deane including a special acoustic performance debut.
About the Exhibition:
Beyond the Ballerina challenges conventional narratives and explores identity, culture, and contemporary First Nations perspectives through powerful visual storytelling. Be the first to see this before it opens to the public!
Special Guest - Josh Deane (Palawa):
Josh was originally slated to be the special guest for the inaugural Mob First Mob Fed event (which was postponed) so, it’s great he can finally fulfill this role! Following his incredibly popular mob-only portraiture workshops recently, Josh will be yarning about his art practice which spans the visual to the musical. Josh is best known for his vibrant paintings and textile-based practice yet, lesser known is his time on stage in front of hundreds as a musician. This was during his time in the Metalcore scene, yet for Mob First Mob Fed, Josh is generously sharing his acoustic singer-songwriter side in this first-ever acoustic performance, following quietly developing acoustic material at home. This intimate debut performance promises to be something truly special that you won't see anywhere else.
