Demonstration | Mokuhanga (Japanese Woodblock Printmaking) 

Join artist Trish Yates, she will discuss the origins of Japanese Woodblock Printmaking and show examples of Mokuhanga prints. She will bring along wood blocks, tools, special brushes and barens. Trish will explain the registration method, the papers, pigments, and tools used in creating Mokuhanga prints. She will demonstrate the printing technique using water based colours on Japanese paper.

Parking: M16 Artspace has free parking and dedicated disability parking spots outside the entrance.

Wheelchair access: Ramp access at the entrance of M16, however this can be too narrow for some wheelchair users. If this proves to be the case the studio access entrance has no stairs and connects directly to the gallery, please contact us for more information!

Bathrooms: We have one wheelchair access and gender-neutral bathroom behind the lobby in addition to two gendered bathrooms.
