Moonah Sounds of the World concert series is back this March to celebrate the rich diversity of culture in Tasmania through music and dance!

Every Saturday evening in March, Moonah Arts Centre will be host to a different line up, from South Sudanese traditional party music to carnival tunes from the Andean region of South America. 

For the second instalment on Saturday 11 March, enjoy a night of Nepalese fusion, Chinese Pop, and traditional dance and music form China and India.

Artha is a purposeful music band formed to define the Nepali music scene in Tasmania. they take pride in belting out English, Rock and Nepali fusion. The band was initially launched in 2014 and had been actively performing for five years in Hobart. We had the credit of performing at several renowned events in and around Hobart, including Dark Mofo, Taste of Tasmania, MONA Museum, Blundstone Arena, and several other Nepali Events.Artha's USP is its six band members, who hail from different walks of life, coming together to create unique and refreshing music. 

Sandesh Pariya moved to Australia to study music and completed his bachelor's degree in music from Sydney JMC Academy of Music in 2012. Sandesh has played and performed with various artists in Nepal. He has also performed at many great venues in Australia, in Sydney .Melbourne and hobart including Dark MOFO, Taste of Tasmania, Moonah Taste of the World, and 42 Days Music Marathon.
