Moreton Island Long Lunch
Event description
The Ladies Who Long Lunch (LWLL) are hosting the very first Island event on the world-reclaimed Moreton Island! We're excited for the Moreton Island Long Lunch to be held on Friday 27th October 2023 at the outstanding Wheelhouse Restaurant which overlooks the Tangalooma Resort beach across the entire bay and back to Redcliffe.
Another first for LWLL events, this event openly welcomes men and women, which was as a special request from our community. Meaning, the October long lunch is a perfect opportunity to share the importance of self-care with all of your business partners, colleagues, friends, significant others or anyone you know who'd love a day out on Moreton Island, whilst creating connections and friends in business. Who doesn't love that, right?
The long lunch program, featuring guest speakers, will also welcome the first gentlemen to the Empowerment Panel. Our guests will highlight some outstanding attributes that as leaders in their industries are adding to their businesses. Our guest panelists’ careers and experiences always focus our event discussion on shared beliefs in some capacity. The Empowerment Panel at the Moreton Island Long Lunch is a stand out, and we can't wait to release our panelists information over coming weeks.
This important date on our calendar is especially for you. You'll want to stop and take time out for the afternoon.
Many of our guests have already booked accommodation on the island to turn their day into days of relaxation. All guests have included in their Moreton Island Long Lunch ticket, passenger transfer services to access to Tangalooma Jetty. Guests wanting to travel to the island early or return later can use their long lunch transfer (as part of their ticket) to travel to or from the island on a different day. Please read all information in the event description to understand how boat transfers could be excluded from your accommodation booking.

Arriving & Departing on Different Days:
Are you taking the opportunity to turn your long lunch into a long stay at Tangalooma Resort? Well done if you are - we are too! Note the resort has a minimum two night stay requirement, and any accommodation will be separate to your Moreton Island Long Lunch ticket.
LWLL have worked with resort staff and passenger ferry services to arrange booking times for our long lunch guests to book their ferry transfer to arrive and depart from the Tangalooma Jetty on earlier days (arrival) or later days (departure).
For example, if you'd like to travel on Thursday to stay overnight and return on the Saturday, you will be able to book your transfer to the island on one of the arriving Thursday ferries and choose your departure from the island on Saturday (minimum 2 night stay) or later. Simply nominate the day and time of your ferry transfer at the time of booking your Moreton Island Long Lunch ticket.
IMPORTANT: When booking your Tangalooma Island Resort accommodation directly through their website, do not add ferry transfers to your booking fees, as this is already included in your long lunch ticket.
Beachside Buffet:
Our island style lunch menu includes a number of dishes to help yourself to including several items from the grill, salads, sides and dessert. Our long lunch looks a little different on Moreton Island. You'll still be able to enjoy what and how much you'd like, with dishes to suit a variety of needs.
Please note, that when you purchase your tickets, you'll be asked to tell us if you have any dietary requirements. Remember to ask your friends what their needs are if you're booking as a group, or on another's behalf, before purchasing.
It is very important to note your food allergies. If you have lifestyle dietary requirements, our buffet menu will cater to your tastes by way of variety. You choose the dishes you prefer from the buffet.
