Moses Carr EP Launch
Event description
The new computer music's prodigal son 'Moses Carr' returns.
Boasting his new EP 'Outspoken' Moses comes out the gate with his classic genre-bending live set. You can expect
cunning and playful edits of old records, hypnotic synth drama as well as a array of his esteemed
collaborators blessing the stage.
Yelderbert throws to the foreground Max Dowling’s own musical prowess, pop-inspired dexterity and knack for
crafty sampling. Conjuring shades of Flying Lotus, Sampha, Hiatus Kaiyote and Dirty Projectors, Dowling presents a
masterful coming-together of influences: alt-pop, jazz, electronic and other satisfying tropes to boot. This is
music to which you can (willingly, confidently) lose your mind.
Yollks is the solo dance music project of local producer, DJ and vocalist, Elle Tayla. Drawing on elements of rave,
electro, breakbeat and more, the past year has seen Yollks feature tracks on labels such as Inner Theft, Red Room
Recordings and her own label Fluxx.
Featuring catchy samples, rushing breaks, hard hitting electro hooks and dirty synths, Yollks’ works ignite an air of
euphoria whilst also allowing one to be grounded in fast paced beats and rhythm.
Surana is the techno-focused outlet of protean drummer and percussionist Lucky Pereira. Already established as one of Naarm’s most dependable and distinct session artists, Lucky has lent his intuitive rhythmic finesse to aid groups including Elle Shimada Collective, Close Counters, JK Group and Teymori. With accomplished family roots in percussive apprehension, he was born with a rarified poise across groove and instrumental music. Forever exploring the interconnected relations in sound, Surana is his vehicle to push club music forward.
