Moving Into Me - Exploring LGBTQIA+ Identity Through Movement

Hosted by: Cody Fisher

Age: 18+

Duration: 2.5 hours

Max Attendees: 10

An inclusive workshop to celebrate and affirm positive identity formation for the LGBTQIA+ community. We will explore identity, expression, and personal growth through movement and art-making in a safe, relaxed, gentle space. Take a journey that considers where you were, where you are, and where you are going. Get ready to move and express yourself without judgment and feel empowered to move to your own beat! Facilitated by queer creative arts therapist Cody. No prior dance/movement or art-making experience is necessary.

About Cody:

I am passionate about supporting people from all walks of life to thrive. I use creative arts-based processes to facilitate self-expression, self-awareness, and personal development in authentic imaginative ways. I adopt a person-centred approach and work closely with individuals’ intentions, allowing space for inquiry, exploration, and meaning-making. I work alongside participants to assist them in achieving their goals, feel empowered, and convey their thoughts and feelings through different mediums and modalities, including drawing, painting, collage, dance and movement, storytelling, and play.

I work with people across the lifespan including neurodivergent folk, and for those living with mental health diagnoses, trauma, disability, and the LGBTQIA+ community.
