Event description

Dear Parents/Guardian,

Thank you for your understanding as we make a second attempt due to a reschedule.

Padua College extends a warm invitation to you for a special presentation by Dr. Jodi Richardson, a distinguished authority on child and adolescent anxiety and resilience. Dr. Richardson’s expertise will shed light on how we can support our young ones in overcoming anxiety and building resilience.

HOW TO HELP YOUR CHILDREN AND TEENS OVERCOME ANXIETY AND BUILD RESILIENCE
The pandemic has taken a toll on the mental health of many children and adolescents, who are facing unprecedented levels of anxiety. Anxiety can affect their learning, behavior, mood, physical health and enjoyment of life. It can also make them avoid or withdraw from activities that are important for their development and well-being, such as school. Fortunately, parents have a key role in helping their children cope with anxiety, understand its causes and effects, and learn strategies to reduce it. Parents can also seek professional help when needed. Whether your children are experiencing normal anxiety or anxiety that interferes with their daily functioning, this presentation will equip you with knowledge, skills and confidence to support them in overcoming anxiety and building resilience.
