Description

Free Babywearing Support in Mulgrave

Join South Eastern Babywearing Group and the Outer South East Melbourne Group of the Australian Breastfeeding Association for a relaxed morning of practical babywearing information and hands-on support.

Whether you are preparing for a new baby, completely new to babywearing, having difficulty getting comfortable with a carrier you already own or exploring options as your baby grows, you are very welcome.

During the session, you can:

bring your own baby carrier for a personalised fit-check

learn how to position your baby safely and comfortably

troubleshoot discomfort, positioning or fitting concerns

explore different styles of wraps, slings and structured carriers

see, feel and try carriers from our demonstration collection

practise using a carrier with a demonstration doll

ask questions before choosing or purchasing a carrier elsewhere

explore options suitable from newborn through to toddlerhood

You do not need to own a baby carrier or have any previous babywearing experience.

Who Is Welcome?

Expectant parents, parents, caregivers, partners, grandparents, support people, babies, toddlers and older children are all welcome.

You do not need to be an Australian Breastfeeding Association member or be breastfeeding to attend.

This is a relaxed, family-friendly session. You are welcome to feed, change or settle your baby whenever needed and stay for as much or as little of the morning as suits your family.

What to Bring

Bring any baby carriers you already own, including carriers you have borrowed, purchased second-hand or received from someone else. If you still have the instructions, bring those too.

You are equally welcome to attend without a carrier and explore the options available in our demonstration collection.

Free, Non-Commercial Babywearing Support

South Eastern Babywearing Group is a volunteer-run community service.

Our babywearing information and fitting support are free. We do not sell baby carriers or receive commissions for recommending particular products.

Our aim is to help families understand their options and find safe, comfortable solutions that suit their individual bodies, babies and circumstances.

Bookings

This is a free event, but registration helps us plan for the number of families attending and ensure everyone has an opportunity to receive hands-on support.

Registering also allows us to contact you if there is an unexpected change to the session.

We recommend arriving during the first hour where possible, particularly if you would like individual help fitting a carrier.

Stay in Touch

Would you like to hear about upcoming free babywearing sessions and other Southern Natural Parenting Network events?

At checkout, tick “Keep me updated on the latest news, events and exclusive offers.” This is Humanitix’s standard wording for joining our email update list.

Southern Natural Parenting Network does not sell products or send promotional offers. We send occasional information about upcoming free events, new articles and community support opportunities. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Photos at Our Events

We sometimes take photographs at our events to help families see what our sessions are like and to illustrate different baby carriers.

These may include general photographs of the session, a group photograph or individual families who have agreed to be photographed.

It is completely fine not to be photographed or to ask that your baby’s face is not shown. We will always ask before taking an individual photograph, and you may be asked to complete a photo consent form.
