Join Australian Baroque and special guest Dr Craig Hassed OAM in the Government House Ballroom for Music & Mindfulness. Be part of a dynamic audience, guided through a series of mindfulness exercises as you listen to sublime music from the Baroque period. 

Melbourne-based Professor Craig Hassed is the coordinator of mindfulness programs across Monash University, is the Director of Education at the Monash Centre for Consciousness and Contemplative Studies and is the patron of Meditation Australia. 

He is a regular media commentator and co-authored the world’s two leading mindfulness massive open online courses and appears courtesy of the School of Practical Philosophy. 

This is a one-off event and one you won’t want to miss!

Each piece in the program will be introduced by Dr Hassed, with a mindfulness exercise, enabling a deeper and richer experience of the music. The concert program will include; Bach’s Double Violin Concerto in D minor, Concerto’s for strings and flute by Vivaldi amongst other baroque gems. 

Performers: Helen Kruger, Jane Cameron, Hannah Herriman, Teresa Vinci, Christian Read, Noeleen Wright, Libby Browning and Andy Skinner.
