𝑴𝙐𝑻𝘼𝑻𝙄𝑶𝙉𝑺 RETURNS WITH 𝙏𝑺𝙑𝑰, 𝙊𝘽𝙅𝙀𝘾𝙏 𝘽𝙇𝙐𝙀 AND 𝘿𝙅 𝙑𝙤𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙨

BrAAAP 🚨🚨🚨  hold on 2 yr bassbins, the rudest party at Misc is finally back providing your dream Sunday day2night hoon on Oct 22. Extremely advanced rhythms to freak your body and open your mind. One for the dancers and the demons. When our lil mutant party was just a baby, 𝙏𝙎𝙑𝙄 was our first international guest ~ this time, we’ve doubled the trouble with the drum doctor b2bing w/ digital experimentalist 𝙊𝙗𝙟𝙚𝙘𝙩 𝘽𝙡𝙪𝙚 who plays her first shows down under. Borderless music from the future delivered to the present.

🥁 Misc alumni 𝗧𝗦𝗩𝗜 reconfigured limbs in his Mutations appearance in 2022, delivering one of the most electrifying, percussion-driven sets we've ever had at the venue. He returns in a collaborative guise alongside a new face making her Australian debut tour.

𝗼𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗯𝗹𝘂𝗲 has been at the top of experimentalist's wishlists for years - her debut tour down under was meant to be in March 2020 and was cancelled just days out due to COVID emerging. She makes her long overdue Naarm debut at Misc for Mutations on Sunday October 22. Her hyperkinetic, sci-fi, fantastical productions are extremely distinct, as she uses a sparse palette of disorienting, off-kilter sonics to create a vision that feels imaginative and hopeful. She masterfully uses space and repetition to create massive impact from her sounds, establishing context and narrative through carefully chosen and manipulated samples.

𝗼𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗯𝗹𝘂𝗲 & 𝗧𝗦𝗩𝗜's collaborative EP, 'Hyperaesthesia' on Nervous Horizon, is a highlight of both artists catalogue. 'Thought Experiment' marries the dizzying, stuttered grooves often present in 𝗼𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗯𝗹𝘂𝗲's solo work with 𝗧𝗦𝗩𝗜's preternatural skill to forge rhythms that keep you dancing uncontrollably while almost falling over your feet. 'Turing Machine' is straight out of a club in 2033, an incredible fusion dance of two artists at the bleeding edge of left-field bass music. When they DJ together it's controlled chaos - rhythms from different cultures, worlds, and eras collide at breakneck speed as they zig zag across high-impact music grounded in body and viscerality. They'll go b2b for three hours at Mutations in their only Naarm show 😈

🌞 during the day we’ve got Sydney community icon 𝙂𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 making a LONG overdue Naarm && Misc debut with their distinct, playful style of stepping, sexy, tripping grooves. Queen bee 𝙏𝙤𝙣𝙞 𝙔𝙤𝙩𝙯𝙞 makes a triumphant Mutations return as a cornerstone of the local bass music scene, masterfully drawing connections between the freshest local tracks and bleeding edge dubwise bassy UK cuts. 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙛𝙖𝙘𝙚 often explores territory across soul-soothing ambient and spirit-stirring DnB, but is thrown a curveball in a debut 𝒃2𝒃 with oddball genius 𝙆𝙖𝙫𝙞𝙡 ~ free cocktail to anyone who successfully guesses what they’ll concoct together.

🌇 taking us thru the golden hours, we’ve got a 𝘿𝙅 𝙑𝙤𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙨 from NYC guiding bodies across sunset. An NYC icon, booker for legendary New York club Nowadays, founder of the collective Working Women, and a DJ with an incredible, loose control of rhythm and flow. "Energy & drama over genre" sums up her incredible mixes for institutions including Truants, Resident Advisor, FACT MAG; and highlight appearances at festivals like Sustain Release, Dimensions, and Lente Kabinet.

Her style is expansive and groovy, full of broken polyrhythms that gracefully fold into one another ~ she's a master at recontextualising genres and grooves into new, unexpected settings where they feel at home with each other. Her sets are full of surprises, unexpected curveballs alongside angular rhythms; all remaining grounded in a love for the dance and a sense of levity.

👻 night brings a peak-time set from triple CDJ-wielding rhythm fiend 𝙨𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙡𝙫𝙖𝙜𝙚 ~ after his TSVI x Black Eyed Peas mashup went viral (incl a Crack Magazine mix feature from upcoming Misc guest Tzusing) we felt the time was right to have him back with his signature freewheeling DJ style, dancing across grooves drawn from all around the world. All capped off by 𝙏𝙎𝙑𝙄 and 𝙤𝙗𝙟𝙚𝙘𝙩 𝙗𝙡𝙪𝙚 going back 2 back for 3 hours of storming polyrhythmic digital chaos.

+++ rooftop treats by fave @mynamechef069 from 4pm onwards!
