MY YEAR OF LIVING MINDFULLY - Movie Night Fundraiser at the Roxy Cinema in Miramar - Second Screening
Event description
Hi my name is Lotty Roberts. I'm a proud mum, wife, wellingtonian and founder of 'Mind U' - a company passionate about being a facilitator and catalyst for positive change and transformation in others.
As a Mindful Change, Leadership and Culture Consultant, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Teacher and someone who practices Mindfulness every day, I'm pretty passionate about the positive effects of Mindfulness on our ability to live in this busy, 'always on' and often stressful world.
I'm super stoked and delighted to present this screening of the award-winning documentary about mindfulness and mental health, My Year of Living Mindfully.
In a world-first experiment, journalist Shannon Harvey went in search of answers to the mental health crisis and recruited a team of scientists to put mindfulness meditation to the test. But after a 30,000 kilometre journey from the bright lights of Manhattan to the dusty refugee camps of the Middle East, what begins as a self-experiment, transforms into a life-changing experience.
Join us on Wednesday 12th August 7pm arrival (film starts at 7.30) for a special screening at the Roxy Cinema, Park Road in Miramar, Wellington. It's a great movie - that I'm sure you will enjoy.
Mindfulness is needed more than ever - lets find out more about what it's all about by following Shannon's interesting story.
