Tue, 8 Apr, 8pm - 9:30pm AEST

Event description

Navigating the journey of raising a child with disability, we face uncertainty and challenges along the way. But it also offers us a front-row seat to our children's immense strength, joy, love, and capacity for growth. When we nurture this joy and celebrate all the wins, both big and small, we foster resilience and strengthen our family’s well-being.

Join this peer group to explore strategies for shifting focus to appreciating progress, reframing setbacks, recognising milestones, and finding meaning in everyday moments. We’ll also share practical tools for documenting and preserving joyful moments and celebrating as a family to sustain positivity and connection.

Come along to connect with other parents, exchange ideas, and leave feeling uplifted and encouraged!

This event is facilitated by Kristy

Kristy is the proud parent of Dash, an inquisitive, gentle-hearted, and wonderfully funny 8-year-old. Dash is Autistic, has ADHD, and global development delay. Kristy likes to say that Dash "got it from his Mama", as she identifies as AuDHD herself. A passionate advocate for her family, Kristy thrives as a parent peer facilitator, dedicated to sharing her insights, celebrating neurodivergent joy, and connecting with other families on a similar journey.
