This meet-up will be hosted by Deb & Kelly from Belongside Families:

Deb is a proud mum to Elsden, a bright and kind 8-year-old with Down syndrome. Over the years, Deb has supported many families raising children with disability through her work as a peer worker and facilitator. She’s also a Learning Support Educator in a mainstream school and is passionate about inclusion—both in the classroom and in the community.

Kelly is a mum of four children. After her son Lachie was born, she saw how overwhelming it was for parents raising children with disability to navigate support systems. This experience led her to study counselling and later social work, so she could better support families on a similar path. Kelly brings warmth, understanding, and a passion for creating safe spaces where families are supported and understood.

Belongside Families (formerly known as Kindred) is an independent not-for-profit organisation providing free support for parents and carers raising children with disability, delay, or autism
