Building Your Child’s Confidence: Virtual MyTime
Event description
Every child’s path to confidence and independence looks different. As parents and carers of children with disability, we can nurture self-esteem, resilience, and autonomy in ways that reflect our child’s strengths and needs.
Join our peer group discussion to explore ways to nurture self-esteem, encourage decision-making, and support independence in daily life. We’ll share strategies for creating an environment that fosters autonomy, the role of play and friendships in building confidence, and how to help children navigate new experiences.
Come along to connect with other parents, exchange ideas, and celebrate the wins—big and small—that shape your child’s journey.
This event is facilitated by Kristy
Kristy is the proud parent of Dash, an inquisitive, gentle-hearted, and wonderfully funny 8-year-old. Dash is Autistic, has ADHD, and global development delay. Kristy likes to say that Dash "got it from his Mama", as she identifies as AuDHD herself. A passionate advocate for her family, Kristy thrives as a parent peer facilitator, dedicated to sharing her insights, celebrating neurodivergent joy, and connecting with other families on a similar journey.
