NALHN EMET Cardiac Emergencies Full Day Workshop Murray Bridge

The program is funded by NALHN as part of the ACEM EMET Program. There is no cost to attend the workshop and light refreshments will be provided.
Clinical Lead for the program is Dr Tariq Nehvi, Director of the NALHN EMET Program and Senior Consultant, Emergency Department Lyell McEwen Hospital.
Medical officers, General Practitioners, Nurses and Paramedics working in Emergency Care settings are welcome to attend the workshops. Registration is required and as numbers for each session are limited please book early to avoid disappointment.
Topic: Cardiac Emergencies
This workshop covers the recognition and emergency management of patients with Cardiac emergencies in the Emergency department. It will explore how to approach, assess, diagnose and manage these emergencies.
Course Learning Outcomes:
Differentiate the clinical findings and role of risk stratification in the assessment of acute chest pain
Prioritise the immediate management of the adult with Acute Coronary Syndrome
Summarise the assessment, differential diagnosis and red flags in the patient presenting with Syncope
Discriminate ECG findings indicative of the risk for Cardiac syncope
