Nardoo Hills Guided Visit 28.04.2023
Event description
Nardoo Hills reserves are on the traditional lands of the Dja Dja Wurrung (Djaara) people and provide vital habitat for many different species that rely on their temperate woodlands to survive. The reserves are picturesque with rolling hills, ancient old gums and extensive vistas across the landscape.
This visit will take you on a guided walk with our field experts Dan Nugent (Victorian Reserves Manager) and Monique Miller (Restoration and Engagement Project Officer), to see the many wonders of this landscape. You will hear about our restorative conservation work, including an exciting ephemeral spring restoration project at the Spring Paddock.
We will start the morning with an introduction to these reserves while having a cuppa, then it’s time to grab your day packs and picnic lunch and head off to explore on foot. The pace will be gentle although the terrain is steep in parts but there will be plenty of time for bird watching, taking photos and discussions. We aim to have you back at your cars by 3pm for departure.
